ReadLang

  • Regional variants and dialects are supported for voices only.
  • The built-in library includes song lyrics, but not a video or podcast library.
  • Sentence translation is limited to phrases of up to 12 words on paid plans.
  • EPUB text is extracted into ReadLang's reader. Chapter headings may be detected, but the original EPUB chapter structure is not preserved.
  • Text and book reading are paginated rather than continuous; sentence mode is not supported.
  • Reading audio and TTS read-aloud are available.
  • Video tools include interactive captions, transcript view, vocabulary saving, automatic transcription, and synchronized highlighting.
  • Subtitle navigation has not yet been verified.
  • Vocabulary is tracked automatically, and TTS is available for words and examples.
  • Saved vocabulary and associated examples and metadata can be exported, including to Anki.
  • Community decks, AI-generated word forms, examples and images, and Duolingo vocabulary import are not supported.
  • Grammar guides, lesson building, and lesson generation are not supported.
  • The browser extension can import webpages and translate selected text, but does not translate words automatically while browsing.
  • YouTube caption import, YouTube dual captions, and Netflix integration are not supported by the extension.
  • A mobile web app is available despite the lack of native iOS and Android apps.
